The Wisconsin Department of Transportation
(WisDOT) is announcing a public information meeting to
begin to gather input for the rehabilitation of US 12
from WIS 20 south to the US 12/WIS 67 split in Walworth
County.
The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30
p.m. on Wednesday March 13, 2013 in the drill room at
the Elkhorn Wisconsin Army National Guard facility
located at 401 Fair Avenue, Elkhorn, WI 53121.
The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the project,
review conceptual exhibits of proposed improvements, and
obtain input that will assist the Department in further
refinement of the improvements. The Department is
proposing to rehabilitate the pavement structure of US
12. Additional improvements will include geometric
improvements at minor side road intersections,
evaluation of intersection improvements at the major
side intersections of County A, County ES, and Potters
Road including signalized and roundabout intersection
types, and evaluation for improved bike and pedestrian
accommodations within the corridor. The exhibits will
show potential impacts anticipated with the proposed
improvements. The public is encouraged to attend the
meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this
project. WisDOT representatives will be available to
discuss the project on an individual basis.
