The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has
begun work on a stream relocation project located
southeast of the WIS 145 and Donges Bay Road
intersection in the village of Germantown, Washington
To complete the stream relocation, crews will restore
the stream bed with a meandering alignment, pools and
riffle, and restore the area adjacent to the stream as
wetland. Traffic impacts will be minimal with some
closures within the shoulder.
The work is to prepare for reconstruction of the WIS 145
and Donges Bay Road intersection, scheduled for 2016.
The contractor, Wondra Construction, plans to complete
the $182,600 stream relocation project in late June. The
schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.
