Section of I-43 in Darien to close overnight
Northbound freeway near Elm Ridge Road scheduled to close

Sept. 8, 2015

As part of the Elm Ridge Road project in Walworth County, crews will be conducting a mill and overlay on northbound I-43, requiring an overnight freeway closure. The closure is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. In the event of severe weather, the closure will likely take place the following evening.
Safety to the traveling public and our road crews is of the utmost priority. The quickest and safest way to conduct this operation is to close the northbound freeway. WisDOT has chosen an off-peak traffic time to minimize impacts to motorists who can utilize the following detour route.
Exit at County X. Proceed north on County X to WIS 11 (W. Walworth Ave.). Go east on WIS 11 to WIS 50 (S. 7th St.). Proceed south to east on WIS 50, to connect with the I-43 northbound on-ramp.
