WIS 67 Bridge over Bark River to have reduced weight limit posted
Signs to be placed beginning June 5th

June 5, 2017

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements for a segment of WIS 190 (Capitol Drive), between County F and Brookfield Road, in Waukesha County. The meeting will take place at the City of Brookfield-Public Safety Building Court Room, 2100 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, WI 53005 on Wednesday, January 25, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Please note that the meeting will be conducted in an open house format. No formal presentation will be given. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements. Representatives of WisDOT will be available to discuss the proposed project and address any questions or concerns.

The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate WIS 190 and improve traffic operations in the project corridor. The proposed rehabilitation consists of milling the existing asphalt, base patching the underlying concrete pavement, and providing a new 4-inch asphalt overlay. It also includes replacing the existing bridges over the Fox River, overlaying the eastbound structure over Duplainville Road, replacing traffic signals at Springdale Road and Barker Road, and turn lane improvements. These improvements will extend the life of the existing pavement, will increase the safety of turning maneuvers and improve access throughout the corridor.

Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2018.
