The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region in Waukesha is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed bridge maintenance improvements along I-41 from County Q to WIS 33 in Washington County.
The meeting will take place at the Cabela’s located at One Cabela Way, Richfield, WI 53076 on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5-7p.m. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
The purpose of the proposed project is to provide preventative maintenance work on 16 bridges and five box culverts, along and over I-41, to extend their serviceable life. Improvements will include deck overlays, deck replacements and painting along I-41. Anticipated traffic impacts will be displayed.
The meeting will be an open house format. No formal presentations will be given. We encourage the public to attend the meeting and provide comments. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis to address any questions or concerns.
After gathering input at this meeting, design modifications will be explored and another public involvement meeting may be held later in 2016 if deemed needed.
Construction is anticipated for 2022-2023.
