To place an obit in The Freeman, the charge is
$50/day and it must be paid before it runs in the newspaper. Either you
could drop a check or cash off at the office or we can take a credit card
over the phone. We need the name that appears on the card, your credit card
number, the expiration date and the security code on the back.
As far as length goes, the only
restriction is that it must be less than a full newspaper column, or the
charge increases to $75. You can include any information you would like...
memberships, affiliations, education, careers, surviving and predeceased
family members, hobbies and whatever else. A photo and/or icon (flag, rose,
cross, Star of David or just about anything else you can think of) can be
included as well at no extra charge.
We need to have the obituary by 8 p.m.
the day before you would like it to run in the paper and would prefer to
receive it by e-mail to
obits@conleynet.com, but we can also accept fax submissions at (262)
542-8259.
For formatting purposes, we request that
the deceased's date of birth, date of death and place of residence be
included.
