Karen J. Texeira

Karen J. Texeira, formerly of Brookfield, died peacefully at her home in Oshkosh on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at age 67. She was born March 7, 1938, in Nichols, the daughter of Lawrence and Verna Dudek. She was united in marriage to Norman Texeira on Nov. 16, 1957.
She was employed as a beautician for many years. Karen will be fondly remembered for her love of needlepoint, cross stitch, quilting and the many gifts she made for friends and family.
Karen will be sadly missed by her husband, Norman of Oshkosh; her daughter, Peggy (Darrel) Texeira-Everson of Milwaukee; her sons, Thomas Texeira of Milwaukee, David (Lisa) Texeira of Waukesha, William (Debbie) Texeira of Hartland and James (Kelly) Texeira of Menomonee Falls; nine grandchildren, Cassandra, Abby, Alex, Shannon, Melanie, Lukas, Zachary, Jacob and Bryce; three brothers, David (Nancy) Dudek of Oshkosh, Doug (Rosie) Dudek of De Pere and John Dudek of Tomahawk; one sister, Janice (Bob) Schelk of Wausau; her mother, Verna Dudek Lemmons of Appleton; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, with the Rev. Leonard Barbian officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, immediately following the Mass.
Memorials may be made to the family to be used for an education scholarship to Mount Mary College.
