Margaret A. Gerbensky (nee Pirozzoli)

Margaret A. Gerbensky (nee Pirozzoli), a lifelong resident of the Waukesha area, died Nov. 30, 2005, at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha at age 81. She was born Nov. 6, 1924, the daughter of Michael and Katherine (nee Schmidt) Pirozzoli. She married Chester on March 3, 1945, in Waukesha.

Margaret was the first church secretary at St. William Catholic Church and retired in 1972. After leaving Wisconsin, she and Chet moved to Walled Lake and became members of the St. William’s Parish in Walled Lake. They were very active members, including volunteer work with the food pantry and the Fish Closet.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her nine children, Karen (Leo) Hickok of Waukesha, Steve (Tammy) of Clyman, Nancy Gerbensky of Waukesha, David (Marie) of Barnes, Chester (Kristen) of Waukesha, Patrick (Karen) of town of Genesee, Pete of Waukesha, Mike (Carol) of Apple Valley, Minn., and John (Barb) of Zion, Ill.; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Liz) Pirozzoli of Florida; sister, Joan Prelozni of New Mexico; sister-in-law, Marion Pirozzoli; and special godchild, Margaret Ann Pirozzoli. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Chet, and her parents.

The family of Margaret would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care given by Dr. Michael Lunde and staff of Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center. They would also like to recognize Dr. Fish and his wife, Nancy, for their dedicated care and concern.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service today, Dec. 3, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A private family entombment will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
