Linda Ellen Steer Schueller, beloved wife and mother, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at home in Hot Springs Village, Ark. She was born Nov. 1, 1922, to Albert Steer and Anna Hannemen Steer.
Mrs. Schueller took part in World War II on the home front as a welder of Naval vessels. She also worked in munitions factories. She retired from Generac Inc. in 1984. She married Mark J. Schueller on Oct. 10, 1944, in Chicago, and moved to Waukesha in 1947. They then moved to Genesee Depot in 1948.
In 1984, they retired to Hot Springs Village. Mr. And Mrs. Schueller traveled extensively.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Mark; four brothers, Everett, Clarence, Myron and Albert Jr.; two sisters, Gladys Behrend and Laura VanDe LaarSchot; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by two brothers, Loren Steer of Peshtigo and Milton (Deloris) Steer of Pound; two sisters, Agnes Winternheimer of Evansville, Ind., and Eleanor (Lester) Kamin of Escanaba, Mich.; her five children, Ann Poff of Waukesha, David (Nancy) Schueller Sr. of Kenosha, Mark John Schueller of Waukesha, Steve (Eve) Schueller of Waukesha and Karin (David) Richardson of Hot Springs Village; eight grandchildren, James (Julie) Poff, Christopher (Kate) Poff, Stacie (Robert) Weed, David Schueller Jr., Mathew Schueller, Chad Schueller, Melanie Schueller and Kile Richardson; four great-grandchildren, Jenna Poff, Maxwell Poff, Hailey Weed and Ryan Weed; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Honorary pallbearers are her six grandsons and Odyssey Hospice of Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Caruth Village Funeral Home of Hot Springs Village. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hot Springs Village. Burial to be private.
