Robert D. Goetzelman Oct. 6, 1926 - Dec. 1, 2005
Robert served in the U.S. Navy Shore Patrol. Robert retired to Naples after 32 years on the Waukesha Police force as lieutenant detective. He was a life member of Elks Lodge No. 400 of Waukesha, the Wisconsin Professional Police Association and American Legion Post No. 135. Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; sons Robert II (Grace) of Fort Myers, Fla., and Tim of Naples, Fla.; and grandsons Erich and Pieter (Carolyn), also of Fort Myers. He is also survived by his brother, George of Salem, Ore.; sister June (Bill) Zahnow of The Villages, Fla.; several relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 28441 Bonita Crossings Blvd., Bonita Springs, FL 34135; Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105; or a charity of your choice. Services will be private. Robert’s ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico per his wishes. Fuller Funeral Home of Naples, Fla., (239) 417-5000, assisted the family with arrangements.
