Franklin A. ‘Franky’ Dobbratz

Franklin A. "Franky" Dobbratz, 71, of Beverly Terrace in Watertown, formerly of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Watertown Memorial Hospital. Franklin was born in the town of Lebanon, Wis., on Feb. 26, 1934, to Blondina (nee Dobbratz) Mueller. He was baptized on June 11, 1934, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon.
Franklin went to the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan and was later confirmed on June 1, 1952, at Redeemer English Lutheran Church in Delavan. He later moved to Waukesha and enjoyed rug weaving and also making assorted crafts. Franklin moved to Watertown in May of 2005 to be close to his mother. He also was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon.
Franklin is survived by his mother, Blondina Mueller of Watertown; two uncles, Harold (Florence) Dobbratz of Watertown and Raymond (Della) Dobbratz of Beaver Dam; and one aunt, Dorothy Dobbratz of Hustisford. He is further survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Franklin was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Mueller, on July 4, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, with the Rev. Jim O’Reilly-Christensen officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
