Eleanor C. Seal (nee Cullen) died Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 2005.

She fell asleep and awoke in a better place.

Eleanor was a resident of Brookfield. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 1, 1933, and lived there until 1958.

She is survived by her husband, David, to whom she was married for 50 years; her daughters, Leslie Finley, Lila Seal (Kelly Powers) and Dana (Peter) Schumacher; and seven grandchildren, Kathryn and David Finley, Marissa and Mark Powers and Emily, Megan and Peter Schumacher. Also surviving are her sisters, Yvonne (Orville) Hobuss, Lucille (Ernest) LeGare and Joyce (Herman) Bringle; sisters-in-law, Lenore (Charles) Parrent, Eloise Brownfield, Carol (James) Hilty; brother-in-law, Preston (Betty) Seal; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and grandma to her grandchildren, whom she adored. When her daughters were in high school, she worked as an aide in the counselorís office at Waukesha South High School and later was secretary to the manager of the Waukesha Water Utility until her retirement in 1992.

She will be dearly missed by her many friends and members of Zion Presbyterian Church, Pewaukee, where she was a member for many years.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Brookfield Presbyterian Church, 1485 Brookfield Road. It will be preceded by a visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the church. There will also be a visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to either The Caring Place in Waukesha or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
