Florence "Flo" Fahey

Florence "Flo" Fahey, 59, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Flo fought a seven-month battle with cancer, with a humor in her heart and a smile on her face.

She was born May 10, 1946, at Zelienople, Pa., to Lloyd and Alma Grossman.

She was a legal assistant for Robert Elliot Attorney at Law in Milwaukee. She was an animal lover from birth, member of the Wisconsin Walking Horse Association and supporter of a Tennessee walking horse drill team.

She is survived by her husband, Roger. They were married at West Allis Episcopal Church on July 25, 1981. She also is survived by three sons, Lance (Sara) of Jackson, Paul (Julie) of Racine and Mark (Rebecca) of Oakridge, Tenn.; four granddaughters, Kristie, Sherryl and Michelle Fahey of Racine and Brittney of Oakridge, Tenn.; two grandsons, Jeremy and Alex of Oakridge; brother, Richard (Sandra) Grossman of Evan City, Pa.; brother-in-law, Darryl (Karen) Fahey of Lawrence, Kan.; mother-in-law, Gladys Fahey of Grand Fork, N.D.; nieces, Dianna (Larry) Tasker of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Anita (Stan) Day of Milton; nephew, Curtis Grossman of Milton; numerous great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd, mother Alma and beloved brother Lynn.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St. in Palmyra. The Rev. Bob Hanson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to National Breast Cancer Research are appreciated.
