Douglas ‘Doug’ E. Dailey

Douglas "Doug" E. Dailey of Waukesha died after a courageous battle with cancer Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at home surrounded by his family at age 67. He was born July 14, 1938, in Mukwonago, the son of Lowell and Dorretta "Dolly" (nee Randall) Dailey. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Martin on Sept. 15, 1979.
He was employed as a machinist for Harnischfeger Corp. for more than 27 years. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Doug will be sadly missed by his wife, Yvonne of Waukesha; his daughters, Jana (Tony), Jessica and Vickie; his grandchildren, Josh, Alicia, Kathleen (Paul), Vinnie, James and Nicole; and his great-grandchildren, Maseion, Shyanne, Dylan, Payton and Michael. He is also survived by his sisters, Dawn (Frank), Virginia, Iris, Judith (Larry), Vernetta (Jim) and Linda (Al); brothers, Robert (Dorothy) and William (Terry); and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Lawrence; and brothers-in-law, John and Carl.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp St., Waukesha. The Rev. Frank Janzow will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Ascension Lutheran Church.
