Robert J. Golden Sr., 68, of Brookfield, was born to eternal life Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005. He was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 7, 1937, the son of Earl and Gertrude (nee Schroeder) Golden.
Bob served his country for four years as a boatswains mate in the U.S. Coast Guard. He owned and operated Golden Signs in Brookfield for more than 40 years. With his incredible sense of humor, he enjoyed life to the fullest, along with camping, fishing and country music.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret; four sons, Robert Jr. (Rebecca), Douglas (Mary Jane), Rick and Tim (Stephanie); 10 grandchildren, Scott (Shelly), Kristen, Max, Tori, Luke, Jaelie, Cassie, Kyle and Dustin; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brooke, Skott and Devin; one brother, Earl (Karen) Golden; a brother-in-law, Earl (Karin) Brauer; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Gordon) Howe and Susan Buckingham; and faithful four-footed companion, KaeCee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, Nov. 11, at Church and Chapel Ritter Larsen Bros. Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield. Robert will be cremated.
