Conrad Reining of Mukwonago passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at LindenGrove in New Berlin at age 98. He was born in Jenk, Hungary, on Sept. 7, 1907, the son of John and Elizabeth (nee Schmidt) Reining.
Conrad was a resident of Mukwonago since 1922. He operated a truck gardening farm for more than 50 years and also worked for the Waukesha County Highway Department for several years before, retiring in 1972. Conrad was a member of the Golden Agers of Waukesha.
Survivors include a daughter, Ardythe (James "Tony") Seeber of the town of Brookfield; a son, Randall (Sandra) of Texas; grandchildren, Linda (Warren) Krogwold, Pamela (Brendan) Maher, Michele (Kurt) Alberstett, Angela and Christopher; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, on Jan. 28, 1998.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Glenn Zimbelman will officiate. A private interment will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
