Robert L. Larson

Robert L. Larson, 80, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005. He was born in Madison on Aug. 15, 1925, the son of the late Joseph M. and Marie E. (Smith) Larson.

Bob joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Massachusetts. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Luick in Madison.

Bob worked with his father at Larsons Meat Market. He worked for Local No. 464 for 28 years in the building construction trades in the Madison area. Bob finished his career working for the state of Wisconsin, Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations Apprenticeship Division in Wausau. He and Lorraine retired to their home in Sayner.

Bob was involved in the Madison Federation of Labor, C.O.P.E., Wisconsin Campers Association and his churches, Our Redeemer Lutheran in Madison and Trinity Lutheran Church in Minocqua. He enjoyed fishing, boating and outdoor activities.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Kevin (Sherry) and Brian (Diane) Larson; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Nick and Amanda; his sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, with the Rev. Eugene Kock presiding. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
