Jeanne M. Oberlin Sept. 7, 1918 - Nov. 15, 2005
Jeanne was united in marriage to Wayne Oberlin on July 29, 1939, in Canton. She was a charter member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Genesee Depot for the past 40 years. Jeanne was a Women’s Club president and was also a member of Invest’hers Club for more than 50 years. She belonged to the Rug Hooking Guild, the Dousman Garden Club and various bridge clubs. She also volunteered at Waukesha Springs (formerly known as Westmoreland Manor) for more than 30 years. Jeanne will be sadly missed by her husband of 66 years, Wayne of Waukesha; her son, Tom (Regina) Oberlin of Brookfield; her daughter, Mary (Mike) Ignatowski of Waukesha; nine grandchildren, Audrey, Mark, Laura, Andrew, Ted, Casey, Kristin, Jon and Peter; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Adam. She was preceded in death by her son, David, in 1981. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the friends that Jeanne loved so dearly, Bill, Elaine, Charlene and Mickey. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. today, Nov. 18, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, S38-W31602 Highway D, Genesee Depot. The Rev. Bob Gosma will officiate.
