Margaret Kissinger

Margaret Kissinger of Waukesha died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 87. Margaret was born in Vernon on April 11, 1918, the daughter of Louis and Louise (nee Schock) Niedercorn.

She was a cake decorator at Klein’s Bakery before she became a cook at Head Start. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Louise (Joe) Vitale of Waukesha, Jane (William) Kwasinski of Elkhorn and Barb (Art) Sandridge of Madison; grandchildren, Richard (Kristen) Braun, Connie (Dale) Poggensee, Karen (Steve) Brodwolf, Joseph (Kelly) Vitale, Robert (Amy) Vitale, Thomas Vitale, Amy (Scott) Carran, Dan (Jenny) Sandridge and Joel Sandridge; great-grandchildren, Max and Abby Braun, Steven, Cassondra, Matthew, Nicholas, Anna and Elizabeth Vitale, Andrew and Veronica Carran, Luke and Brock Poggensee and Sarah and Jack Brodwolf; and brothers-in-law, John (Dolly) Kissinger, Charles Johnson, Ray (Harriet) Schroeder and Charles Herrewig. Margaret is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LeRoy; son, LeRoy; sisters, Marie and Elizabeth Niedercorn and Frances Uglow; and her brothers, John and Peter Niedercorn.

A funeral Mass will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the noon Mass. Burial will take place immediately following the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials in Margaret’s name may be directed to Waukesha Memorial Hospital Heart Foundation or Waukesha Paramedics, or Masses may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The family of Margaret Kissinger would like to extend a most sincere thank you to Dr. Paul Seifert and his staff, the members of the intensive care unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, intermediate cardiac care unit and the volunteers in the ICU lounge for the kind and courteous care extended to mom and the family members during her hospitalization.
