WAUKESHA

Harold ‘Andy’ Anderson

Jan. 19, 1935 - Nov. 27, 2005

Harold "Andy" Anderson, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at his home at the age of 70. Andy was born on Jan. 19, 1935, the son of the late Albert and Elsie (nee Moll) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his best friend and the love of his life, Mary Hansen, on Aug. 13, 2004, after 23 years of happiness.

He was employed for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for many years until his health kept him from working. Andy was a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers football team, and on Saturdays everything stopped at his house until the game was over. His white hair and deep voice was admired by many. He also loved his home and yard and his new red tractor. He was always ready to help anyone in need. Even with all of his health problems, Andy had a great sense of humor, which was a gift he was given.

Andy will be sadly missed by his brother, Al (Jean) Anderson of Waukesha; his sister, Virginia "Ginny" (the late Leslie) Beaster of Waukesha; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Anderson and Carole Anderson; stepchildren Ann (Dave) Rose of Belguim, Elizabeth (Ali) Hatab of Milwaukee, Kathy Hansen of Milwaukee and Robert Hansen of New Mexico; five granddaughters; and also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Laurel of Syracuse, N.Y., and Robert of Waukesha.

A memorial service for Andy will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, with the Rev. Bryan O’Connor officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AngelsGrace Hospice, W359-N7430 Brown St., Oconomowoc, WI 53066, or to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Andy’s neighbors for all the care and concern they have shown, and also Rev. Bryan O’Connor for his concern and prayers, and for the time he shared with Andy.
