Almeta A. Palm

Almeta A. Palm, 85, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at her Waukesha home. She was born in Downing, Mo., on Feb. 4, 1920, to Rome and Flossie (nee Crawford) Moore.

Almeta came to Waukesha in 1950. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was employed as secretary to the assistant superintendent of the Waukesha public school system from 1957 until her retirement. She was also an active volunteer at St. Luke’s, assisting with the office work.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Dick (Susan) Swanson of Chattanooga, Tenn., and her grandson, Anders William Swanson of Princeton, N.J.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Swanson in 1954 and Henry Palm in 1981; her sister, Ouida Hile; and her brother, Ros Moore.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Dec. 1, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. The Rev. Gary Liedtke is officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
