William J. ‘Hans’ Bahr

William J. "Hans" Bahr, 89, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at Waukesha Springs. He was born in Waukesha on Dec. 21, 1915, to George and Lena (nee Pinkowski) Bahr. On March 11, 1939, he married the former Virginia Hendricks.

He was the service parts manager of Rail Way Division at Waukesha Motorworks for 24 years. He was the president of Hans Bahr Builders Inc. for 30 years. While Hans was blind in his later years, he is now enjoying 20/20 vision with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Hans was a member of Waukesha Elks Lodge No. 400 and a member of Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Dousman. In his retirement, he had a passion for woodworking and created many beautiful pieces.

He will be missed by his wife, Virginia of Waukesha, along with their children, Deborah Bahr of Waukesha and Gary (Patricia) Bahr of Wales. He is the dear grandfather of Jennifer Lynn Bahr, loving brother of Evelyn Juleen and uncle of Judith Ross, both of Waukesha. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 6, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Waukesha Springs for all their wonderful care.
