Lena A. Rozman

Lena A. Rozman, 94, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1911, in Woodstock, Ill., to Helmuth and Gertrude (nee Bock) Behnke.

Lena attended a one-room school in Granton and was an excellent student. She has been a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 25 years. Lena was the head salad chef at Tuckaway Country Club. She was an excellent homemaker and very artistic. She enjoyed making quilts, afghans, embroidery and ceramics. Every grandchild has been blessed with one of her afghans, pillows or baby blankets. Lena had beautiful handwriting and loved writing letters and birthday cards. She was an avid card player.

She will be missed by her son, Douglas (Kathleen) Rozman of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and loving sister of Harold (the late Dovie) Behnke of West Allis and Evelyn (the late Louis) Rozman of Greendale. She is further survived by her daughter-in-law, Gloria Rozman of Waukesha; sister-in-law, Velda Behnke of Loyal; and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1946; sons and daughter-in-law, Vern Rozman and Ronald (Betty) Rozman; and brother, Art Behnke.

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, Oct. 7, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services continue at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct. 8, with prayers beginning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Graveside services to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
