Frederic K. Lake

Frederic K. Lake died at age 76 on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at his residence in Eagle.

Fred was born April 5, 1929, to Scott and Clara (Kern) Lake. He had lived in Eagle all his life. He had been retired from Wisconsin Motors after 40 years of service; was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea; was a member of the Palmyra Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32-degree Mason and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Bergstrom). They were married for 51 years. His children, Virginia (Dennis) Jost of Oak Creek, Rita (John) Lackovich of Bloomington, Ill., Fred Lake of East Troy and Mark (Heidi) Lake of Eagle. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by three brothers and one nephew.

A funeral service, followed by Masonic services, will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at Mealy’s Funeral Home in Eagle. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home Tuesday.
