Jeanette C. Casey

Jeanette C. Casey of Waukesha found peace with God on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 81.

She was born in Waterford on July 22, 1924, the daughter of August and Sophia Kempken. Jeanette was a dedicated employee at the Motor Works, Waukesha A&P, Super John’s Supermarket and the Purity Bakery. She was an avid bowler and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where she was active in the choir and Christian Mothers. A passionate Milwaukee Brewers fan, Jeanette spent many evenings enjoying Bob Uecker’s radio broadcasts of their games.

She was a devoted wife of 60 years to Edward "Paul" Casey of Waukesha and she was a loving mother of six, including Patricia (Richard) Schmidt of Waukesha, Michael (Sherry) Casey of Tomahawk, Richard (Dianne) of New Port Richey, Fla., David of Waukesha, Thomas of Waukesha and Mary Beth (Tom) Goldrick of Waukesha. She was an affectionate grandmother of 15, including Laura Lau of Waukesha, David (Michele) Schmidt of Keller, Texas, Jamie (Jason) Treml of Butternut, Scott (Tammy) Casey of Park Falls, Katy Casey of West Bend, Kim and Elicia Casey of Horicon, Brian (Briana) Bednarek of Pewaukee, Marissa (Andy) Ruehs of New Berlin, Daniel Casey of Milwaukee, Lillian and John Paul Casey of Waukesha and Karen, Caitlin and Rachel Casey of Waukesha. She was a caring great-grandmother of 10, including Andrea and Ryan Lau, Lauren and Claire Schmidt, Chase Treml, Makayla and Ashley Casey, Ethan Casey, Callie Bednarek and Caleb Ruehs. She was a dedicated sister to Elaine (Bernard) Hauser of Jackson and Carol (Maynard) Eickhoff of Mukwonago. She was a loyal sister-in-law to Adeline Kempken of Oconomowoc. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Arthur and Elmer Kempken. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Visitation will be held at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the parish vigil service being held at 7 p.m. Services continue at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, with prayers beginning at 9:15 a.m. followed by the procession to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
