Ada M. Turner

Ada M. Turner, 97, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. She was born in Palmyra on Feb. 9, 1908, to Frank and Mary (Nelson) Ewins.
Ada is a lifelong resident of Palmyra. She was employed as a school teacher at Evansville, Stone School, Sandy Island and Palmyra. She was a member of the Palmyra United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Palmyra Historical Society.
She is survived by her sons, Alan (Irene) Turner of Sullivan and Peter (Nancy Northey) Tuner of Milwaukee, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George, and two sisters, Hannah and Harriet.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Palmyra United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Karen Klatt officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m Thursday, Oct. 20, at Mealyﾕs Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Friday at the church. Burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Palmyra.
