Gerhart "Gary" Krause

Gerhart "Gary" Krause, 83, died Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Wyndham Health Center in Pewaukee.
He was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Fall Creek, Wis., to Henry Krause and Elsie Janke. He married Eleanor Huenik on Jan. 27, 1946, in Oconomowoc.
Krause was retired from a career as a machinist for Carnation Co. in Oconomowoc and also had worked at Kuettner Oldsmobile and Notbohm Furniture. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II with the 2nd Marine Division, Company B, in the Pacific. He was also a former board member of the Carnation Credit Union, a member of the Old Time Ball Players of Wisconsin and a member of Golden Kiwanis Club, VFW Post 2260.
Krause is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Peter) Rumpel of Beloit and Joanne "Jodi" (Daniel) Krause-Jarocki of Oconomowoc, and brother Maynard "Chuck" (Marge) Krause of Menomonee Falls. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kathryn (Kurt) Schultz of Greenfield, Mark (Heidi) Rumpel of Oconomowoc and John (Jennifer) Rumpel of Greenfield, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 209 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc, with the funeral to follow. Krause will be buried at LaBelle Cemetery.
