Russell P. Reich

Russell P. Reich, 88, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Chicago, to Harold Pierce and Alfrieda Olson.

On Nov. 19, 1942, he married Marion Lang in Waukesha.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bataan in the South Pacific.

He was a maintenance worker for the Pabst Farms, retiring in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Terry (Marilyn) Reich of Tamworth, Australia, Jim Reich of Waukesha, Steve (Jennie) Reich of Hartland, Sue (David) Layden of Sauk City and Linda (Scot) Martell of Mukwonago; and 13 grandchildren, Brian, Miranda, Steve, Mick, Eric, Liz, Matt, Jon, Pete, Thom, Josh, Whitney and Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donorís choice.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. service Wednesday, April 5, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 Cross St., Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Don Gebhart officiating.
