Bonnie J. Lean

Bonnie J. Lean, 80, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1925, the daughter of Lennie and Bonnie (nee Moungey) Pease.
She and her husband, William, farmed on Lean Lake, which is now Ottawa State Park. Bonnie was a longtime resident of Palmyra and a member of the Palmyra Methodist Church, where she had been active in the Ladies Societies.
She is survived by her husband, William, whom she married in Waukesha on Aug. 13, 1943; her children, Judith (Ivan) Riggs of Little Prairie, Marty (Bruce) Thayer of Palmyra, Mary Price of Elkhorn and William Jr. (Peggy) Lean of Palmyra; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Ada Jane (Neal) Kranich of Orlando, Fla., Jola Ann (Donald) Buss of Lake Mills and Sara (Peter) Weigel of Startford; brother, Berle (Dawn) Pease of Dousman; and many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ellis and Rynaldo, and a sister, Cliobell Houk.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Mealyﾕs Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, at Palmyra United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Karen Klatt officiating. Burial will be in Melendys Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Palmyra Methodist Church are appreciated.
