Maldwyn W. Morris

Maldwyn W. Morris, 90, died Saturday April 22, 2006, at the Wisconsin Masonic Home. He was born in the town of Ottawa on Sept. 13, 1915, to O. George and Catherine (nee Edwards) Morris. Together with his brother, Arden, they farmed as Arwyn Farms, Morris Bros. for more than 40 years.

Mr. Morris was a mason for more than 60 years as a member of the Dousman Masonic Lodge #315. He was also a member of the Glenn L. Humphrey Lodge #364. He was a past treasurer for the town of Ottawa, was on the parks and planning commission for the town of Genesee and was on the Waukesha County parks and planning commission. He was a director of the Tri-State Breeders. He was a member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and was a former member of the Moriah Church. On Nov. 26, 1947, he married the former Inez Savatski in Waukesha.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Inez Morris of Dousman; their children, John "Jack" (Kathy) Morris of Quinnesec, Mich., Pamela (Dale) Nagle of Oconomowoc, James (Charlotte) Morris of Dousman and Debra (Jim) Ware of Dousman; 12 grandchildren, David, Kelly, Kristen, Michael and Matthew Morris, all of Florida, Jennifer (Mike) Meindel of Dousman, Emily, William and Kyla Morris, all of Dousman, Tom (Danielle) Ware of Brillion, Nicolette (Andy) Holtz of Waukesha and Susan Ware of Dousman; and several great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Margaret "Peg" Davies of Long Beach, Calif., and sister-in-law, Doris Morris of Dousman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, J. Russell Morris, G. Arden Morris and Milo Morris, and his sister, Helen Morris.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Masonic service and funeral Thursday, April 27, at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 Main St., Wales. The Rev. Julie Craig will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
