Elma Lee Peffer

Elma Lee Peffer of Waukesha died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, on her 64th birthday, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Bloomington, Ill., to Elmo and Beatrice (nee Evans) Montgomery.

On Aug. 8, 1959, she married Robert Peffer in Bloomington. Elma worked at the front desk at the Brookfield Racquetball Club for 10 years. She also attended St. Marys Catholic Church in Waukesha.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Robert; their two children, Tim Peffer of Sullivan and Tony (Corrie) Peffer of Waukesha; and grandchildren, Melissa, Kaitlyn and Ezra Peffer. She is further survived by her mother, Beatrice Bell of Bloomington; brother, Gary (Linda) Scott, also of Bloomington; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmo Montgomery, and her sister, Nancy Fisher.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home in Bloomington, with a 5 p.m. parish vigil. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Bloomington. Please meet at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home for prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington.
