Michael G. Wraalstad

Michael G. Wraalstad, 59, of Pretty Lake, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, in upper Michigan. Mike was born April 10, 1947, in Winona, Minn., the son of Cecil and Delores (nee Modjeski) Wraalstad.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Mukwonago High School Hall of Fame and was employed at Spancrete for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Pritchard), whom he married Nov. 7, 1970, at St. Johnís Catholic Church in Plattsmounth, Neb. He is also survived by his children, Brian (Kristen) Wraalstad of Oconomowoc, Kamara (Matthew) Welch of McHenry, Ill., and Christian of Dousman; grandchildren, Brady Wraalstad, Brandon Wraalstad, Jacob Welch, Alexander Wraalstad and Kiara Welch; his father, Cecil Wraalstad of Mercer; his mother, Delores Wraalstad of Greendale; sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Weidenhoefe of West Allis and Teresa (Jim) Paszkiewicz of Muskego; brother, John (Judy) Wraalstad of Mukwonago; stepbrother, Randy Sanns of Waukesha; stepsisters, Kathie Wilhelm of West Allis and Joan Cooley of Lake Hills, Texas; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his dearest and best friend, Bob Rajnicek, and his entire family. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lorraine Wraalstad.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service Thursday, Aug. 24, at St. Theresaís Catholic Church, 136 Waukesha Road, Eagle, with full military honors.
