Glenn E. Acheson, 69, of the town of Summit, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Waterville, the son of William and Violet (nee McQuiston) Acheson.
He was married March 12, 1966, in Oconomowoc, to Cheryl Smith. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Glenn later worked maintenance at Carnation Co. and drove trucks for Oconomowoc Manufacturing. Glenn was a member of the Kettle Moraine and Rock River chapters of Harley Owners Group, as well as Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Acheson; his children, Lori (Elliot) Mason of Oconomowoc and Charles (Gayle) Acheson of Dousman; his sister-in-law, Kathryn Klawes of Oconomowoc; brother-in-law, Peter (Jean) Smith of Pewaukee; sister, Elsie of Eau Claire; and brothers, Alvin of Montana, Clifford of Kentucky, Jim of Michigan, Dean of Minoqua, Dan of Madison and David of Hayward. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Melissa and Stephanie Trudeau and Randi and Allison Acheson, and his mother, Violet Acheson. He was preceded in death by his father, William Acheson, and his brother, William.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Aug. 20, at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church, 145 Lisbon Road, Oconomowoc, where the Rev. Rod Resheske will officiate. Burial will be at LaBelle Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested in his name to the Oconomowoc Regional Cancer Center.
