James W. Panawash

James W. Panawash, 70, of Beaver Dam, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
He was born March 3, 1936, in Waukesha, the son of the late Walter and Vera (nee Hine) Panawash.
He attended grade school and high school in Waukesha, later serving his country in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years and attending the University of Texas in Corpus Christi for 3 1/2 years.
James was employed for many years as a draftsman/designer until his retirement. He married Lorrie Rassman on Aug. 4, 1989, in West Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Lorrie Panawash of West Bend; his children, Brenda (Mark) Panawash-Bielinski of Hartland, Debra (Stan) Galbraith of Richfield, Gregory Panawash of Cambria and Jennifer (Tim) Rouse of Waukesha; and his stepchildren, Susan (Mike) Choinski of Watertown and Michael Rassman of West Bend. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters, two brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Waukesha. There will be no visitation and a cremation has taken place.
