Rose P. Thalmayer

Rose P. Thalmayer, 90, of Waukesha, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 4, 2006. Rose was born on Feb. 16, 1916, in Budapest, Hungary.

She married William Thalmayer in Budapest on May 25, 1935. They emigrated with their three daughters to the United States in 1950. Rose was an accomplished dressmaker and worked from her home for many years. She was a long-standing member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, sang with the church choir and belonged to the Ruth Circle. She was also a charter member and former president of the Waukesha Rose Society, an avid member of St. Mary’s Senior Club and a volunteer at LindenGrove Nursing Home.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, William, and their daughter, Eva Cherek. She is survived by her two daughters, Rose (Thomas) Jungbluth and Ildiko (Gary) Poliner. She is further survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held. Private burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
