Stephina M. Tritz (nee Bartek)

Stephina M. Tritz (nee Bartek) of Waukesha, formerly of Adams, the town of Genesee and Phillips, joined her husband, Nicholas C., and sons and a daughter-in-law, Wilfred (Marge), Joseph, Edward and Steve, on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at age 102.

She is the loving mother of Clara (Stan) Horne of Sussex, Rosemarie (Douglas) Turnmire of Waukesha and Charles (Bernadine) Tritz of New Berlin; cherished grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 35; great-great-grandmother of 11; and beloved mother-in-law of Jackie, Carol and Arlene Tritz. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Stephina was born Aug. 18, 1904, in Facsko, Czechoslovakia, and immigrated to the United States in 1910 at age 6. In 1923, she married her love, Nicholas, and they had 63 wonderful years together until his passing Nov. 18, 1986.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will be held at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery, Adams.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Virginia Health & Rehabilitation Center for all their tender loving care they gave Stephina for the past 20 years.
