Catherine Mae Malloy
Catherine Mae Malloy of Brookfield went from our loving arms into the loving arms of God on Saturday, Dec.16, 2006. Catherine was born in the village of Campbellsport, the daughter of James and Veronica (nee Meyer).
Catherine graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing as a registered nurse, where she continued working. She also worked at the Veterans Affairs Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Catherine was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Brookfield, where she was involved in many aspects of the parish. She assisted with the church liturgy, taught religious education, volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul and brought Holy Communion to the homebound elderly. Catherine was an avid bridge player, gardener and tennis player. Family, church and work were Catherine’s life.
Catherine will be sadly missed by her five children, Margaret (Thomas) Mueller of Tucson, Ariz., Martha (Mike) Furst of Brookfield, Frances Malloy (Thomas Linsmeier) of Redding, Conn., Eileen (Michael) Malloy Fabozzi of Boulder, Colo., and Michael (Michelle) Malloy of Boscobel; grandchildren, Eileen (Dan) Castor, Andrew, Stephanie and Emily Furst, James (Jaime) Mueller, Gretchen (James) Rubach, Peter and Rachel Linsmeier and Seth and Danny Malloy; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Nikki, Izaac, Noah and Benjamin; one sister, Mildred (Vincent) Schmidt of Grafton; one brother, James (Marilyn) Foley of Phoenix; one sister-in-law, Virginia Malloy of Philadelphia; and nieces and nephews. Catherine is welcomed into heaven by her husband, James; daughter, Kathleen; and relatives, Joan and Peter Morton, Marvel Foley, John Malloy, Frances and Martin Malloy, Ben Schreiner and all the angels and saints.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral Mass on Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield. Private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hales Corners.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, 305 E. Main St., Waukesha, WI 53186, or to the charity of your choice.
