Edith M. (nee Seeger) Jakus, 82, of New Holstein and Greenfield, went to join the heavenly choir Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006.

Edith is survived as "mother dear" of Greg (Jackie), Gail, Gary (Renee), William "Jake" (Kathy) and Ellen (Ted) Pierce; grandmother of Jennifer (Richard) Fix, Noelle Pierce and Rachel Pierce; great-grandmother of Christopher Fix; dear sister of Donald (Marion) Seeger, Eugene (Regee) Seeger and James Seeger; sister-in-law of Laura Jane Jakus; special godmother of Larry (Laurie) Daub; and special aunt of Brian (Judy) Daub, Lloyd Daub, Kathryn (Dan) Dierbeck, Charles (Diane) Daub, Mike (Peggy) Cerny and Carla Seeger. She is further survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew P. Jakus; her parents, Meta and Walter Seeger; her dear sisters, Irene Daub and Myrtle Linn; her brother, Robert Seeger; and her special friend, Tillie Whitston.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Dec. 29, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. The family appreciates memorials to Memorial United Methodist Church Museum.
