Charles William ‘Bud’ ‘Charlie’ Bahr Jr.

March 2, 1923 - Feb. 2, 2006

Charles William "Bud" "Charlie" Bahr Jr. slipped quietly into heaven Thursday, Feb. 2, leaving his wife, Janet (nee Oestreich) of 57 years to mourn his loss.

Charles is further survived by his nine children, Butch, Charles III (Denise), Chris, Suzy (Gerry) Roethle, Deb, the late Dennis, Colleen (Jeff) Hansen, Alan (Sherry), Melodie (Terry) Moore, Lana (Brian) Strandt and Janelle (Champ) Kreidler; 23 grandchildren, Rebecca (Chris), Melissa, Theresa (Scott), Angela (Adam), Vanessa, Amanda, Andy, Jessica (Chris), Gretchen (Allen), Shane (L.B.), Tyler, Jaime (Andrew), Kimm, Kirk, Kyle, Nicole (Charlie), Kristyn (Jeremy), Kevin, Chuck, Abby (Chris), Cody, Sam and Max; and 10 great-grandchildren, Chandler, Chloe, Lily, Nevaeh, Dillon, Grayce, Kahle, Cheyenne, Andrew and Paul. He was the brother of Ethel Mae Dehnart, Florence Casper, Robert Bahr and Sharon Hough and is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Charlie retired from Husco of Waueksha. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that ever walked the face of the earth.

Visitation will be held from noon until the 4 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Feb. 5, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Rome.
