Ruth D. Roberts

Ruth Dresner Roberts, 98, a longtime resident of Waukesha, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Dorchester Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sturgeon Bay.
She was born April 21, 1907, in Milwaukee, the daughter of William Edward and Hattie (Muenchow) Dresner. Ruth was a member of the first graduating class of the Dodge County Normal School and later attended the Wisconsin State Teachers College of Milwaukee. Ruth was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
Survivors include her three sons, Everett Roberts (Thalia) of Bartlett, Ill., William Roberts (Karen) of Sturgeon Bay and Duane Roberts of Prairie du Chien; seven grandchildren, Lisa Lucas of Arlington Heights, Ill., Jeff Roberts of Atlanta, Andrew Roberts of Sturgeon Bay, Benjamin Roberts of Sturgeon Bay, Patricia Roberts and Edward Roberts of Shawnee Man, Kan., and Christine Jonaitis of Omaha, Neb.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; brother, Gilbert Dresner; and grandson, John Roberts.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 15, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha with the Rev. Gary Liedtke officiating. A private family committal service will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruth’s name to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186.
