Carol Lynn Rusch

Carol Lynn Rusch, 59, was born to eternal life Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006.

She was raised in Clintonville and lived in Oconomowoc for 35 years where she taught for the Oconomowoc Area School District and retired from Greenland School. With her lifelong enthusiasm for knowledge and teaching, she earned both a masterís degree and the admiration of generations of students. As a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the legacy of her published works unites our families across the country and centuries.

Carol was the beloved wife of 39 years to James D. Rusch; loving mother of Eric (Jennai), Heidi (Donald) Holzhauer, Kevin (Stacey) and Wendi Rusch; fond grandmother of Nicholai, Erica, Mason, Emma, Megan and Kaitlyn; sister of Arlyn (Donna) Vollmer, Milyn Vollmer, Sharon (Patrick) Pelkey, Susan (Douglas) Gee, Donna (Gerald) Johnson, Elaine (Kenny) Gast, Elizabeth Sawyer, Eugene Anderson, Joanna Joseph, Catherine Lesson and Evangeline (Jeff) Banfil; and daughter of Martin A. (Doris) Vollmer and Rose Bachman. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Valentine Bernard and Samuel Bachman.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral and Cremation Service, 121 Cross St., Oconomowoc. Visitation continues Thursday, Feb. 16, from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 818 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc. She will make her final rest in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

Memorials are suggested to Rooted In Christ School Fund or Hereditary Cancer Reserch-Pancreatic Cancer Studies, Creighton University Medical School or Oconomowoc Regional Cancer Center.
