Luella L. Shobe

Luella L. Shobe (nee Cota) of Jupiter, Fla., passed away Jan. 27, 2006, at the age of 81.
Born Dec. 22, 1924, in Blaney Park, Mich., she was the daughter of Violet (nee Johns) and Albert J. Cota.
She grew up and attended school in Munising, Mich and after high school she joined the U.S. Navy and served as in WAVES during the World War II. She was stationed in Jacksonville, Fla. where she met her future husband, Delbert W. Shobe, whom she married Jan. 3, 1946 in Lindstrom, Minn. A long-time resident of Waukesha County, she moved to Jupiter in 1989, where she has resided ever since.
She is survived by her sister Arvilla (Lester) Passinault of Munising; her three children Candice L. (Bobby) Hicks of Clermont, Fla., Bryan N. (Stephanie) Shobe of Tomah, Wisc. and Leslie J. Salick of Hartland. Also surviving are her six grandchildren Michele Bolena, Alisha Rollo, Jason Shobe, Erin Leach, Augie Salick and Max Salick, and six great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held in Munising in the summer of 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Gerstenberg Hospice Center in West Palm Beach or to the charity of your choice.
