Rose Mary Tannis of Waukesha died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at age 87. Rose was born in Neillsville on Oct. 14, 1918, the daughter of Charles and Lena Atkinson. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church.

Rose will be sadly missed by her daughters, Rosemary (Bob) Morrison of Oak Harbor Wash., Margaret (James) Hoover of Waukesha, Joan Hahn of Milwaukee, Dorothy (Craig) Evans of West Bend and Susan (Fred) Ristow of Big Bend; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Zimmerman. Rose is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendlin; granddaughter, Angela Rose Ristow; and sisters, Gladys Zimmerman, Verna Zimmerman and Virginia Tannis.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Monday, Feb. 20, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery in Pewaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hartland Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
