Harold William Corrigan

April 1907 - December 2005

Harold Corrigan was born in Milwaukee in April 1907. He was always interested in sports and as a young man competed in swimming and diving. He also won the Wisconsin state doubles tennis championship. He worked as a waterfront director at Wisconsin camps, including Phantom Lake YMCA camp in Mukwonago.

Following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in physical education, Mr. Corrigan taught junior high school students in Waukesha. During World War II, he served as a special services officer in England. Upon his return to Waukesha, he became supervisor of physical education for area elementary schools and instituted Saturday intramural sports programs. He later earned his masterís degree at the University of Colorado. He was a longtime Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow.

In 1976, Harold and his wife, Elinor Hicken, moved to Sun City Center, Fla., where they were active in the community. He is survived by his niece, Mrs. Roberta Hicken Schmidt of Vail, Colo.
