William Davies ‘Bill’ Rogan

William Davies "Bill" Rogan of Waukesha died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 91. Bill was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Amery, the son of William and Lucy (nee Davies) Rogan.
Bill married Jeanette Havemann on June 27, 1938, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Muscatine, Iowa. Bill was a member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he was an usher and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a past district lieutenant governor of the Kiwanis and past president of the Waukesha Kiwanis. He was a member of the Serra Club of Waukesha, Elks Lodge #400, the South Eastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, Waukesha County Agriculture and Business Council and the Waukesha County Airport Committee. He also was a past president of the State Association of Fairs and Secretary of the Waukesha County Fair Board.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeanette; children, Patricia M. (Willard) Lenz of Fort Atkinson, Dennis W. Rogan of Hutchison, Kan., Kathleen A. Hoffman of Waukesha, Robert T. Rogan of Yonkers, N.Y., Barbara J. Rogan of Waukesha, Margaret E. Rogan of Waukesha and Mary E. (Thomas) Helgerson of Racine; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister, Mary K. Koch of Waunakee; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James, John, Paul, Robert, Howard and Mark.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. rosary service today, Feb. 24, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A funeral Mass for Bill will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
