Kenneth L. Dable

Kenneth L. Dable, 62, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waukesha on May 8, 1943, to Robert and Lillian (nee Keppen) Dable.
On Dec. 19, 1969, he married the former Karen A. Strube at Trinity United Church of Christ in Brookfield. Ken was retired from the City of Brookfield Highway Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war. He enjoyed restoring custom cars and was a drag racing enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen of Brookfield; a brother, Dale (Nancy) Dable of Hemet, Calif.; a niece, Michelle (Dave) Preston of Camano Island, Wash.; a nephew, Todd Dable of Hemet; and an aunt, Mildred (the late Dr. Robert) Simon of North Prairie. He is also survived by several cousins, who were especially dear to him: Beth Lawson, Linda Imig, Sue DeMuth, Lee Stickles and a very special cousin, Joyce Wedeman in California. Other cousins, relatives and friends also survive.
