ST. CLOUD, Minn.

Beverly J. Richason

Nov. 1, 1924 - Dec 28, 2005

Beverly Joan Elder, born in Logansport, Ind., to Floyd "Joe" and Norma Elizabeth (Heath) Elder, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005.

After her high school graduation, Bev proudly served in the United Service Organization. She married Benjamin F. Richason Jr. on July 21, 1946, and spent some years in Indiana and Nebraska while Ben attended graduate school. Their one son, Benjamin F. Richason III, was born in 1948. They moved to Waukesha in 1952, when Ben was hired as a professor at Carroll College.

Bev was deeply involved with church and Carroll responsibilities. Bev and Ben traveled extensively (true geographers) and annually took students on international field studies. After Benís death in 1988, Bev continued to travel, learn, work at church and take care of her many friends, as long as it didnít interrupt Packer season events.

Beverly was a wonderful woman who will be dearly remembered by anyone who had the blessing to know her. She was a woman of great faith, quick wit, boundless knowledge, curiosity, optimism, perseverance and a deep love for family and friends.

In addition to her many friends, Beverly leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Barbara, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew Richason, and Jennifer (Glen Tautges) Richasonk, and her great-grandson, William.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Jan. 14, at First Presbyterian Church, Waukesha.

Memorials are preferred.
