Michael "Mike" "Pauly" G. Paulson, 36, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at his parent’s home with his family by his side. Mike was born Aug. 8, 1969, in Oak Park, Ill., the son of Duane and Carol (nee Kochnowicz) Paulson.

Mike enjoyed computers and watching NASCAR with his family. In the last year, Mike was able to fulfill a dream and to go to the Daytona 500 and meet the eventual winner, Jeff Gordon. Mike also achieved a longtime wish to get a cabin on the hunting land near Tomah. He was able to spend a good deal of time there last summer and also for deer hunting.

Mike was actively involved in the recruitment of potential donors for stem cell/bone marrow testing to be put on the donor registry. As Mike’s card said, "Get on the list."
