Mary Meicher, 81, of Janesville, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Alden Meadow Park Nursing Home in Clinton. She was born in Waukesha on March 16, 1924, the daughter of Nicholas and Antoinette (Novilla) Albanese. She married Bernard Meicher on May 9, 1953, in Waukesha, and they have been Janesville residents since 1954.
Mary had been employed as a nursesﾕ aide at Rock Haven for more than 10 years and was a member of St. William Catholic Church. Her biggest joy was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard; three children, Mary (Joseph) Dingeldein of New Haven, Ind., Kathleen (Steve) Anderson of Mission, Texas, and Nicholas (Kathleen) Meicher of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jeoffry (Kristyn), Jessica and Matthew Dingeldein, Sarah (Joel) Gray and Joshua Anderson; and two sisters, Phyllis (James) Aller of Waukesha and Grace (Ronald) Hoffmann of Vista, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at St. William Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Auby presiding. Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home in Janesville.
