Janet A. Bergles, a lifetime resident of Pewaukee, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at age 91. She was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.
Janet and her husband worked for many years with the Pewaukee Food Pantry, a job now taken on by their son. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, walks in the woods and traveling. She’s been to China, Egypt, Israel and throughout the United States.
She will be deeply missed by her son, David; her daughter, Sue (Peter) Stacy; her brother, Alfred "Bud" Eichler; grandchildren, Tom, Christopher and Andrew (Therese); great-grandson, Bryce; sisters-in-law, Vernell Bergles and Alice Cebrowske; and many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her brother, Jack Eichler.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 19, at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, N27-W24000 Paul Court, Pewaukee. A private interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Pewaukee.
Memorials in Janet’s name to the Pewaukee Public Library would be greatly appreciated by the family.
