Sally J. Herbst (nee Schoenwalder)

Lifelong Waukesha resident Sally J. Herbst (nee Schoenwalder), 75, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Mae (nee Pundsack) Schoenwalder. Sally worked at Zoller Candy Store in Waukesha as well as at Amron, Briggs & Stratton and was the chef at Frank’s Supper Club, now the Gasthaus, for 14 years. She was a waitress at George Webb on Sunset Drive. She loved to gamble and make crafts. She enjoyed walking on the beach searching for sea shells, being on the water and especially loved fishing.
She will be sadly missed by her family, including her devoted former husband, Alexander R. Herbst of Waukesha; their children, Steve A. (Kathleen) Herbst of New Berlin and Conrad A. (Lori) Herbst of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Kathleen and Kellie Herbst of Lawrence, Kan.; and her step-grandchildren, Jenelle (Scott) Boers of West Allis and Rob Ertl of West Allis. She is further survived by her sisters, Marie Nichols and Betty (LeRoy) Sommers; her brother, Joe (Moe) Schoenwalder; her sister-in-law, Lois (Ken) Splitt; her brother-in-law, Eugene (Marge) Herbst; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
A memorial celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
